IIS 8.0 Administration

  • Course number: IIS-120
  • Duration: 2 days
  • Pricing: $80

IIS 8.0 is included with Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8. IIS 8.0 includes Application Initialization, centralized SSL certificate support, and multicore scaling on NUMA hardware, among other new features.

This 2-day course teaches the fundamental principles of web server administration and how to administer Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 8.0. Although other web development frameworks are mentioned, the course is primarily focused on hosting ASP.NET-based applications.

Each attendee receives a printed copy of all material presented by the instructor, a lab manual consisting of step-by-step instructions for the hands-on lab exercises, and supporting files for the lab exercises.

The instructor receives a electronic version of the material suitable for presentation during class and an instructor guide with recommended timing and additional information related to the course.

No prior IIS or web server administration experience is presumed.

The hands-on lab exercises are designed for an environment where each student has an instance of Windows Server 2012.
